Hello!! or (Sew-Sa-day) in (Khmer/Cambodian) and welcome to my website.  I am Toppixx also known as Yannak Hou.  I am an American (Indie) Independent Solo Male Musician Artist, currently residing in Stockton, California U.S.A.  I am Born on September 10, 1983 in Cambodia.  I am a Music Producer/ Rapper/Singer/Song Writer/Break Dancer/ Mix and Mastering and I'm also an Editor.  As a Artist I do not consider myself a Professional, yet or maybe I am... Haha.  I consider myself a Beginner/Novice because Songs/Music in general.. it's sooo complex you can make all kinds of sounds through learning curves and mistakes.  I started getting into this field, because I enjoy listening to music and making music and how it is structured from the ground up, and what I was going through in life.  I find it remarkable how music can change and evolve over time.  I know that every time I listen to any music, I listen to every little precise detailed of a song of how the sound is created.  

 

 

    I came to the United States of America on December 9, 1988 from Cambodia.  Right on dot on my younger Brother's Birthday.   Our family was sponsored from relatives in the United States because we were Refugees from Cambodia and flew to the U.S. first residing in San Diego California, and lived there for a Year or so and moved to Stockton, California to stay close to our Grandma.  I started writing poems around the 2nd and 3rd Grade, but started singing around the late 80's and the early 90's until Present day, I also started rapping at the end of Middle School and the Beginning of my High School Year.  In Elementary I did a M&M's skit/commercial in front of the class, I remember saying a line "M&M's are so good it doesn't melt in your hands it melts in your mouth."  I wrote an alternative version short book called "Little Nemo" after watching a Cartoon Animation on Television called "Little Nemo," in Elementary School, and the Cartoon Movie was based off about a boy and his flying Bed.  I've also watched Tom and Jerry, The Simpsons, Futurama, American Dad, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Dinosaurs, Flintstones, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Martin, Hercules, He Man, Super Man, BatMan, SpiderMan, Power Rangers, Scooby Doo, Jerry Mequire, Montel, Married with Children, Full House, Home Improvement, Oprah, Jerry Springer, Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris, Aliens 1,2, and 3, The Terminator, Predator, 2012, Dragon Ball Z, Family Guy, MTV, Vh1, The Regular Show, Animations, International Movies, and the Movie Independence Day and you know the rest if you grew up during my time.  I was a Break Dancer (BBoy) Did some During my late Elementary, Middle and and High School and a little after.  During that time I would go out around the Stockton City/Community teaching other friends to Break Dance and teaching friends how to Break Dance in Middle School and High School.  My highest achievement was 20 flares, Gyros/Windmills, Baby gyros, Helicopters, Super Man, Combos, Cricket, etc.. I was working on my Air Flares but stopped break dancing at 20 years old.  

 

     In Elementary I had classes like Science, Sex Education, on parents approval, History, American English, of course just English in general, Math, Poetry, Dance, P.E played some flute and Piano.  In Middle School I took classes like Choir, Sewing, I was in a ESL (English Second Language) class, Economics, I also beat the fastest running mile guy in Middle School just wanted to add that haha.  In High School I took Science, Art, and I was in lots of school clubs, took Latin Class, Cambodian Class, Cooking Class, Auto Mechanics Class,  I.M.P (Intergrated Mathematics Problems) 1,2, and 3. I Learned how to type in typing class and how to build websites using Apple and Windows computers .  I was in the M.E.S.A (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement) class for 3-4 years in High School and I also did a short film and acting with a couple of friends of mine in High School.  I've also worked at summer jobs in Middle School and had permanent jobs throughout High School and on until I was injured at work in 2009 and 2011.  I've also learned how to build computers and put them together just a little after High School.  I wanted to do my Senior Project on Break Dancing, but English Teacher wouldn't let me.  So I decided to move to Mesquite, Texas with my brother to finish and acquire our H.S Diploma, but ended moving back to California. I had to attend Stockton Adult School to get my High School Diploma and get to walked at U.O.P. (University of the Pacific) it took me a whole year cause I was short 10 credits.  While My brother on the other hand ended joining the U.S. Army.

 

     I was mostly "The Upbeat and Power Move Guy" with a little Techno, I was Break Dancing at Assembly's in High School and at Key Clubs also at Marine World, in front of a bunch of crowds.  The Theme Park is now called Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.  I was also Break Dancing in a busy street next to the Malls, in Clubs, with my Brother in Hawaii and the 209 Area code.  I was in  a Bboy competitions I was Break dancing with Fatal Phaze, Fantasy Styles, City Rockers (CR) and many Local (BBOYS) in the Stockton area, I've had practiced sessions at Delta College, I was either with the Fatal Phaze crew or was affiliated with their Break Dancing Crew, but it didn't matter to me because I got along with everyone I met.  I overheard around people saying I was the number 1 Break dancer at Amos Alonzo Stagg High School, but I didn't pay any mind.  At the same time I was making music and beats mixing and composing small portions of the beats and self recording.  I also made a mini Album in my Teen Years around 13-17 years old using Cool Edit and Cool Edit Pro, now it's called Adobe Audition CC.  One of my relatives introduced me to FL Studio in High School and I gave the Program a try and I knew how to use it like a "Piece of Cake."  

 

 

    I grew up listening to Various Artists of different Genres of Music, my first Album I bought was Stevie B I grew up listening to Musicians and Artists like, Josette, Angelina, Selena, Timmy T, Oldies but Goodies, Kpop, Chinese and Japanese love songs, Michael Jackson, Elvis, Tupac, Biggie, TLC, Nu Flavor, All for One, New Edition, Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Shania Twain, Madonna, Sinn Sisamouth, Ros Serey Sothea, BackStreet Boys, N'sync, 98 degrees, Boys to Men, Survivor, Vanilla Ice, Bone Thugs, Freestyle Music, Breakbeats, EDM etc..  People would Say I look a little like Chris Brown only when I cut my hair and if my hair is long I look like a Latino/Hispanic/Mexican, or they would ask me what are you??  I would tell them I am a Khmer Person or just a Cambodian.  Anyways it doesn't matter what I am, I'm a regular average person just like everyone else living on Planet Earth.  you want to desire your happiness because after all it's your life. Enjoy it and make it Memorable to share a Life time.As an Artist I do not stick to one main structure of how songs are made,  I love to challenge myself to go beyond the borders of music and anything I do, because to me music is like life, you should be able to do whatever and anything
